This new book offers a sneak peek into The Force Unleashed game, due in stores September 16.
From a description on the Random House Web site, the book talks about the secret apprentice's destiny that "he can realize only by rising to the greatest challenge of his discipleship: destroying Emperor Palpatine."
The book also says the secret apprentice will travel to Raxus Prime and Kashyyyk (two levels we've previously played through in the game) and along the way will "forge an unlikely alliance with a ruined Jedi Master seeking redemption and wrestle with forbidden feelings for his beautiful comrade, Juno Eclipse."
So, if the game's story follows this book, the Secret Apprentice will have to destroy the Emperor and fall in love with his attractive blonde pilot, Juno, voiced by British actor/model Nathalie Cox.
Two more Force Unleashed companion books also hit the stands today including a graphic novel and "Art and Making of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed," which chronicles the four years that went into making the game (with forward by Darth Vader, aka Hayden Christensen).
In other Star Wars book/game news, sci-fi site i09 spied a "Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide" for the Star Wars role-playing game. Is this a sign of things to come in the KOTOR MMORPG currently in development by Bioware? Knowing how all things Star Wars follow the canon religiously, we say yes.
