LucasArts shows off the Wii exclusive Duel Mode, letting us pit Darth Maul against the ultimate Sith, Darth Vader.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is one of LucasArts' biggest games, with excellent visuals and a story inspired by the master Jedi himself, George Lucas. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions have the most flash, thanks to enhanced visuals. The Wii, on the other hand, has the exclusive Duel Mode, a two-person death match that lets you live out your lightsaber fantasies, force choking opponents and zapping them with lightning before cutting them down.

Duel Mode as a sweet cast of characters from the Star Wars series.
Combat works simply enough, with you shaking the remote to execute light saber attacks and pressing the face buttons to jump and perform special moves, including Force Lightning and Force Choke, among others. In addition, it's possible to string moves together, allowing you to zap someone with lightning and then go in for the final blow. At one point, we blew someone into lava, Episode III style, just to watch them burn.
Each locale features signature artwork and environmental interaction. The aforementioned lava pit, for example, took place on Raxus Prime, a junk planet. Not only could we knock our opponents into the fire, but we also managed to summon these junk droids to harass them. Furthermore, the center of the arena has grates that fall away, revealing the lava, so you need to be aware of your surroundings, in addition to battling your lightsaber wielding adversary.
While Duel Mode is fun, we don't see ourselves obsessively playing it. It's great to have, especially when searching for a reason to buy the Wii version over its counterparts, but we're more interested in the single player campaign, especially since it lets us play as Darth Vader's apprentice. Expect more Force coverage leading up to its release.
