Consumer electronics retailer, Bensussen Deutsch & Associates, Inc. (BDA), announced three new additions to its Wii accessory lineup with a Wii-based blaster and lightsabers that are licensed by both Nintendo and Lucasfilm.
The Clone Trooper Blaster for Wii arrives in September to compliment the new Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes game. On the sexy side, it will offer a dual action trigger action that allows users to simultaneously trigger shots from the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk -- which will both fit into the same blaster.

The Star Wars Light-Up Lightsabers for Wii, due to arrive this fall, are based on replicas used by Yoda and Anakin and will also illuminate green or blue glows respectively. As with other lightsabers, players will place their Wii Remote inside the handle of the unit. Fans of Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels rejoice!
While we can't wait to see what they might look like (or cost -- expect higher price due to licensing), the lightsabers don't seem to be compatible with the new Wii MotionPlus accessory, which would make for a stellar edition to Nintendo's sure to be popular game, Wii Sports Resort.
