Vivendi Universal Games announced today that both Game Boy Advance titles Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage and Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy have shipped to retailers. The two games are actually crossover titles that see both heroes traveling to the other's world to assist in defeating either the archenemy Ripto or archnemesis Dr. Neo Cortex.
The otherwise unrelated characters should bring some interesting gameplay, and a few more fans to each other's world. "Both the Crash and Spyro franchises have huge fan bases, so we are very excited to bring these top characters together in these compelling new GBA titles," said Philip O'Neil, VU Games' president of North America. "Crash Bandicoot Purple and Spyro Orange are perfect for gamers looking for action-packed handheld adventures."
Both titles, which are developed by Vicarious Visions, will support up to four players in more than 25 specially designed multiplayer modes. Players can connect the two titles for the opportunity to unlock additional content like multiplayer games, more playable characters, and sets of Crash Bandicoot Purple and Spyro Orange collector's cards.
Both Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage and Spyro Orange: The Cortex Conspiracy have an MSRP of $29.99 and are rated "E" for Everyone.
