Spore's mix of quirky gaming goodness quickly elevated it to Time Magazine's 'Top Inventions of the Year' for its imaginative creation tools that let players build creatures, buildings and spacecraft. This week, EA hopes to extend that praise with the release of Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack, the first expansion for the crafty title that will add 60 new creature parts, 48 new paint options and 24 new animations (robot, hoe-down, moonwalk and more).
"As the Sporepedia continues to grow, Spore fans have been craving even more creative tools to play with," said Lucy Bradshaw, executive producer of Spore and general manager, Maxis. "Maxis is committed to cultivating the most enriched experience possible for Spore players and the Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack is the first step in achieving this. Spore Creepy & Cute Parts Pack allows players to give distinct personality to their creatures like never before. We're very excited to see where gamers take this whimsical content."
Additions included in the $19.99 pack, that works with the full version of the game on Mac or PC, gives such options as thorny armor plates, big cartoon-y eyelashes and more so players can soften the look or make their fearsome races look even more evil.
