Sega had their beat-em-up opus for Xbox, Spikeout on display at their E3 kiosk, and I gave it a go to see what the game is like.
The game lets you choose from one of four different players, and then assigns you the task of beating up a certain amount of people in a certain amount of time. For instance, 55 people in 130 seconds. It's harder than it looks, so you have to rely on particular skills, like combos and power moves, to clean house.
The game looks pretty fantastic thus far, with huge environments to explore and some nice animation. The controls are a little monotonous, but offer plenty of beat-em-up fun within such a small timetable.
Spikeout should find a release later this year.
