For months, potential buyers of the Namco Bandai beat-em-up SoulCalibur IV found themselves having to make a hard decision, whether to buy the PlayStation 3 version and embrace the Dark Side of the Force with Darth Vader, or purchasing the Xbox 360 version to duke it out with the wily Yoda. Next week, you'll no longer have to make such a decision.
On October 23, Namco Bandai will offer these respective characters as downloadable content through Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network, respectively. This means that Vader will be available for the first time as a playable character in the Xbox 360 edition, while PlayStation 3 owners can add Yoda into the fold. The price for these characters is 400 points on XBLA and $4.99 on PSN.
Dare we forget the power of the Apprentice either? We think not. Our only wish is that we could have some kind of three-player Jedi showdown. Oh, well, maybe in a future download...
