God (any will do), how I miss the way this series used to be. The original games were modest, good natured (killing), and actually were simple enough to follow. Ever since the days of Soul Calibur II have come and gone, things of gotten different in a lot of ways. Most of them make this series one of the worst downward spirals into craptown than Sonic (sorry. I think sonic is still awesome, but it is true). Let me start out by saying how confused I am as to how characters like Ivy and Sophitia can get smashed by giant axes, sliced by swords, and beaten half to death on multiple occaisions and still be able to come to the end o*****ame without looking like they got hit at all? They barely wear any clothing. Whatever any female wears in this game is only meant to hide their nipples and their... nether regions. (Taki fails in this, which is odd because she's a ninja and ninjas are supposed to hide). I'm a man but I feel like even Ivy's character has become as big a ***** as Paris Hilton... okay... overstatement. I take that back. I'm just saying that this game has gone far from what it started as. Look at how ellaborate ***htmare's and Siegfried's costumes have become. How can either one of them even MOVE in all that pointy and heavy armor while still carrying a divine (or satanic) magical sword that is bigger than 1/2 the characters in the game? I'll end this by asking why the **** Yoda and Vader are in this game (Vader is for PS3 but whatever). They have nothing to do with the struggle for Soul Edge. In fact, for what I played, if Yoda and Vader really did get involved, the series would end because a lightsaber would have killed every character in the goddamned game faster than you can say "Join the Darkside, we have cookies." So this is a really stupid and pointless addition to a series I used to be proud to own a game of. Now I'm just disappointed that it has come to this. 4/10.
