Today, Sega announced that Sonic and the Black Knight is in the works. This new Wii-exclusive title is part of the so-called "storybook series" that started with Sonic and the Secret Rings. Sonic and the Black Knight will see the titular hedgehog traveling through Arthurian-inspired locations, with controls that promise to take advantage of both the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk.
"Sonic and the Black Knight is a stunning adventure into an epic land and story that no gamer can resist," said Sean Ratcliffe, Vice President of Marketing, Sega of America, Inc. "Gamers will experience all the excitement of mastering a sword and true knighthood, as well as the classic, speedy, 2D/3D gaming action that Sonic is famous for."
Sonic and the Black Knight will release on Wii in Spring 2009.
