The game also includes more soldiers than just U.S. Navy SEALs. Developer Slant Six promises many international forces, but hasn't revealed them yet. This should, in theory, make the game more popular overseas, since people in other countries won't have to always play as the Americans.
After just five months of development, Confrontation looks impressive, not the most visually attractive PS3 video game, but noticeably better than its aged predecessors. Both the character models as well as the environments sport more detail, but none it matches the likes of games Heavenly Sword and Uncharted: Drake's Adventure. With that being said, none of the SOCOM games are graphical standouts, and the developers probably focus more on getting the network code up and running as smoothly as possible.
Like most recently announced PS3 games, Confrontation still has a ways to go before it hits stores this fall, and Sony needs to provide more information, such as how the game works with the motion sensitive SIXAXIS controller. Fortunately, the company plans to bring a playable demo to E3 in July, and GameDaily will post updated impressions as soon as the staff gets its hands on it.
