SNK Arcade Classics Vol. 1 is a compilation of classic Neo-Geo games at their best, thanks to a lack of slowdown and support for various controllers, including the GameCube pad. Most of these games are still enjoyable, particularly the side scrolling adventure Magician Lord, the Contra-esque shoot-em-up Metal Slug and the sports romp Baseball Stars 2. In addition, hidden items such as artwork and fighting move lists, will keep you playing for weeks. Sure, it lacks some key games, (where's Super Baseball 2020?), but overall, this is one anthology you shouldn't miss.
