The GameDaily One-Minute Review

Skate plays better than expected thanks to an innovative control scheme that feels completely natural, almost like learning the basics of the actual sport itself. The graphics look terrific for the most part and the soundtrack hits all the right notes. Some more intricate skateboarding tricks would've been nice (such as reverts and lip tricks) and the city could've used some expansion. Those aside, Skate avoids the bail and lands stylishly on its wheels.

bjblego: Amazing Game!!!

EA has done an amazing job on their first ever skating game. I think that Skate tops any Tony Hawk game by a landslide. The Tony Hawk controls are too hard (X, A, B, LB, Y, and move the right control stick all the way up the whole time) compared to Skate's move the right stick down then around and up. The only problem is that the highly-anticipated Skate. reel is way too hard to use! I can't make one video, and I thought that was going to be the best part of the game
