Jones Soda Co. announced today that it is holding a promotional event with Nintendo of America. The sweepstakes will be called the Jones Soda "Under the Black Cap," and will feature bottles with specially marked black caps and limited edition labels with images from Metroid Prime Hunters. Those interested must collect five Jones Soda bottle caps with letters that spell out J.O.N.E.S. and mail the caps in to win the prize.

One lucky person will win the Grand Prize, which includes a flat screen TV, a Nintendo GameCube, two Nintendo DS systems, three GameCube games, two Nintendo DS games as well as a chance to win $25,000 in cash. 75 first prize winners will each win a Nintendo DS.

Peter van Stolk, C.E.O. of Jones Soda Co. stated, "Nintendo targets the same teen demographic as Jones Soda, which makes this a perfect cross-marketing promotion."

The promotion will occur August 1 - October 31, 2005 in the US and Western Canada, with drawings for the winner to occur "on or around" November 15, 2005.
