Atlus' Three Hit Combo (PC)

A trio of new titles bound for the U.S.

by David Radd on Thursday, February 24, 2005

Atlus announced recently that it is publishing three new games in the U.S. This is in keeping with the company's tradition of localizing niche Japanese titles for the North American market, such as Shin Megai Tensei: Nocture and Ogre Battle. Two of the titles, Riviera: The Promised Land and Puyo Pop Fever, are coming to Nintendo handhelds (the GBA and DS respectively). The other, Samurai Western for the PS2, was developed by Spike, responsible for the first Tenchu title and the Way of the Samurai series.

Samurai Western is an action title about Gojiro Kiryu and his own special brand of justice he's bringing to the Old West. Riviera: The Promised Land is an RPG focusing on the odd story of a second apocalypse after Ragnarok. Puyo Pop Fever is the latest version of Sega's classic puzzle game, this time featuring touch screen controls.

Samurai Western should release June 2005 for $39.99. Puyo Pop Fever and Riviera: The Promised Land will both retail for $29.99 when they ship this April and Summer, respectively.
