Jay Mohr, the host of this year's Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Interactive Achievement Awards at the Hard Rock Casino Hotel in Las Vegas, has been a gamer all of his life. The comedian, who has appeared on the big screen in movies like Jerry Maguire and The Groomsmen and on TV in NBC's hit show, "Last Comic Standing," has now gravitated to videogames. Mohr will appear virtually in Vivendi Games' Scarface: The World Is Yours this fall as Logan. It marks the first time that the multi-talented actor has ventured into the interactive space, but it likely won't be the last. Mohr took some time to talk about videogames with GameDaily.com.

Can you talk about what it was like to host the Interactive Achievement Awards in Vegas?

I loved it. What a thrill it is to hand out awards to men and women that have entertained me for so long. It was a really great group although they didn't applaud for each other very much. Very competitive.

How do videogame creators compare to Hollywood creators?

Video game creators, I would guess, have more freedom...but it's just a guess.

Being a gamer, were there any suggestions you were able to make to any of the award winners for future games?

Yes. Pay me to do voice-overs. Maybe have an entire series of games featuring me. Instead of Sims, you could have Mohrs.

How long have you been playing videogames?

Two words...Pong.

What systems do you currently own?

PS2 and an Atari 2600 hooked up to a lawnmower.

When you're on a set of a movie or TV show, do you keep game systems in your trailer?

Madden...always.

How much time do you spend gaming in a week?

Five to seven hours.

Do you ever play against other players, or friends, online through Xbox Live or other online services?

Not yet.

What's your favorite classic videogame and why?

Nintendo All-Stars Baseball. USA vs Japan.

What's your favorite current videogame and why?

Madden. Lots of strategy. I always create myself and make myself a beast.

Wii Madden and other upcoming sports games actually require players to imitate throwing and kicking motions with the controller. What do you think of these types of sports games that require limited physical interaction?

I think these people should maybe go outside.

It seems like Hollywood and games convergence is a booming business these days. What role do you see games creating for Hollywood talent like yourself?

I am hoping I can play the next Lara Croft.

Do you Recommend this Feature?

Yes (100%)No
