March 12th through 15th at the Newbury Racecourse, Digital Jesters and Multiplay UK will be hosting the i19 LAN event for Savage: European Edition.

Digital Jesters will be offering prizes to the top players in the event, drawn from a pool of over 1000 participants. First prize is £1000, second prize is £500 and third prize is £250. There will also be on the spot cash giveaways during the tourney.

Savage is a hybrid first-person shooter and RTS where players have a variety of options. Gamers can participate in the action as warriors in the battle and view the world from a first-person perspective, while those who choose to command the action look upon the battlefield from a RTS standpoint. Commanders have the capability to manage the strategic planning of a conflict, the resources involved and the orders given to other players, which may or may not be heeded.

The European edition of Savage will include additional maps, mods, and skins. Also, the game will come with a 64 page strategy guide.

Savage: European Edition is to be released in the UK on February 20th 2004 for the PC and will be priced at £29.99. It will also be released throughout Europe during March and April.
