The GameDaily One-Minute Review
Furious light gun shooting hits the Wii in Capcom's Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles. The on-rails blast fest takes you through memorable moments from Resident Evil 0, the original and Nemesis, as you use the remote to kill zombies, rampaging apes, giant bats and other creatures, all the while snagging hidden goodies such as health sprays, weapons and detailed bios on the game's creepy crawlies. Although fun in bursts, our trigger fingers ached after excessive handgun shooting, and some of the bosses score cheap hits, which led to lots of frustrating deaths. It also doesn't help that it looks ugly, with jagged edges and dark colors that don't look great splashed across even a standard definition TV. So while this latest Resident Evil offers up some mindless fun (especially with co-op play), don't expect a full-fledged adventure, especially with the absence of the second and fourth installment, as well as Code Veronica.User Reviews
