Reuters is reporting that Capcom is looking to break into the online games market in China. In particular, the Japanese game developer would look to adapt traditional console franchises like Devil May Cry, Resident Evil and Lost Planet to the online PC realm.

"Online games are played only by a certain group of users in Japan," Capcom Chief Financial Officer Kazuhiko Abe told the Reuters. "It would be an attractive step to modify some of our big-name titles that were originally developed for consoles into online use, and launch them in big markets like South Korea and China."

Capcom recently announced its results for fiscal 2007, revealing a 37 percent jump in profit thanks to Devil May Cry 4, Monster Hunter Freedom 2G and recent Resident Evil releases.
