Unveiled in this week's Famitsu Weekly, Capcom is officially delivering a sequel to the newly launched and online compatible Resident Evil Outbreak series. Titled Bio-Hazard Outbreak File 2, the game will feature a selection of new cooperative scenarios starring the same cast of survivors in a zombie-ridden Raccoon City.

The game, which is due out in Japan this fall, had several screen shots published in Famitsu Weekly. The screens give us an idea as to where gamers can expect to be planning their escapes from the undead. Several locations, including a zoo, a swampy area, a lush greenhouse and a diner were found among the screens unveiled; these locations should prove to be interesting backdrops for the intense action of the series.

Despite lackluster sales of Resident Evil Outbreak in Japan, Capcom is expected to actively back the series worldwide. Although no official word has come yet on the newly revealed sequel hitting U.S. soil, you can expect more info and plenty of updates on the latest installment in the Resident Evil Outbreak series at May's E3.
