Capcom hasn't forgotten how great the GameCube was to their Resident Evil franchise, what with the RE remakes and the release of Resident Evil Zero and RE4. They're giving Nintendo more zombie love.

The company announced today that a new Resident Evil game is in development for the Nintendo Wii. It is not a port of the forthcoming Resident Evil 5 but rather an all new game specifically being designed to take advantage of the system. An official title nor details about the game's plot haven't been revealed yet.

There is a nice little rumor, though, that we may see it during early December 2006. Just take it as rumor for now, however, until we get the official word on it. Look for more coverage in the months ahead on this promising game.
