Toughen up, cupcake, or Punch-Out!!'s 13 boxers will make you eat canvas. Once again, you'll slip on a pair of gloves and take wannabe contender Little Mac from up and coming fighter to title contender. Like the NES classic, the game features a wide array of humorous characters with distinct personalities, from the dancing fool Disco Kid to the overweight and monstrous King Hippo. With Doc Louis in your corner, you'll figure out how to beat each challenger while climbing the ranks of the World Video Boxing Association. You'll love playing with the remote held sideways because the game plays like old school Punch-Out!!; physically punching the air with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk (and dodging with the Wii Fit Balance Board), while a novel idea, isn't accurate enough to defeat tougher opponents. In addition, the game features a fun split screen Mac vs. Mac multiplayer mode, a Title Defense mode where all of the boxers have new attack patterns and a 3-D presentation full of humorous cut scenes and impressive little touches that bring out each fighter's quirks. Online play and additional challengers (Disco Kid is the only new character) would've made this even better, but Punch-Out!! is still a fun and nostalgia driven arcade style boxing game that every Wii owner should play.
