In Prism, you must bend light in order to save a race of creatures called Glowbos that need light to survive but for some reason live in caves. Luckily, an alien race comes to their rescue, and this is where you come in. Armed with a stylus, you maneuver these creatures, called Bulboids, into position so that their light touches every Glowbo scattered about the stage. As with most puzzle games, things start off easy, then quickly grow increasingly difficult, as you must satisfy specific challenges, such as making sure that a yellow, red or blue Glowbo gets hit with their corresponding color of light, or bend the light so it reflects towards that hard to reach alien.
Aside from the 120 puzzles, Infinite Mode randomly generates new challenges, Time Mode forces you to complete a puzzle before the clock hits zero and two-players can compete in the single cartridge multiplayer mode. If anything, the game gives you plenty to do.
Whether or not you can get past Prism's cute exterior, however, remains to be seen. It definitely appeals to a younger audience, but we dig its concept, so it may find some play in our DS systems, if only for a little while. Since it releases next week, expect a full review here on GameDaily in the near future.
