Last night, the Ninth Annual Game Developers Choice Awards were handed out during GDC. The awards were doled out in the Moscone Convention Center's Esplanade Room. The big winners were Fallout 3 (which took Game of the Year and Best Writing) and LittleBigPlanet (which won Best Game Design, Best Technology, Best Debut Game and the Innovation Award).
Other winners included Prince of Persia for Best Visual Arts, God Of War: Chains Of Olympus for Best Handheld Game, Dead Space for Best Audio, and World Of Goo for Best Downloadable Game. Notably, despite being nominated in multiple categories including Game of the Year, Grand Theft Auto IV was shut out of the GDCAs.
