Movies based on video games have generally fallen short of being blockbusters, but with Gore Verbinski, Jake Gyllenhaal and the like attached to big-screen adaptations for games such as Shadow of the Colossus, BioShock and Prince of Persia, this will change right?
Wrong, say our buddies at Asylum, who have sharpened their manly claws and torn all three upcoming movies a new one.
"Just call the movie 'Prince of Persia: We Didn't Play Any of the Games, But We Liked the Box-Cover Art and You Should Just Be Happy We're Making a Movie About Any of Them at All, Nerd.'"
Ouch. Any of our readers think that these movies will actually be good?

i have high hopes for bioshock, as long as Verbinski doesn't hthink it needs and POTC in it. If it was handled like There Will Be Blood or Schindler's List, it has a chance to be great. Sadly, it will probably get the double dragon treatment.
