The GameDaily One-Minute Review
Though these games play like every other Pokemon game, versions Diamond and Pearl deliver a fresh online Wi-Fi experience that will make even the most burnt-out fans want to "catch 'em all." Play a wide-eyed kid charged with saving the world, while exploring the new Sinnoh region for 151 Pokemon to fill the Sinnoh Pokedex. Look for familiar faves and new creatures, like Bonsly, Mime Jr., Weavile and Lucario. Battles play out like they do in all the other Pokemon games -- battle, beat and capture new Pokemon -- and people can test their skills against other players by using the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. It all may seem so familiar, but Diamond and Pearl still manage to deliver a well-polished Pokemon adventure.User Reviews

mkzsonic: Pokemon Diamond & Pearl: Similar to other Pokemon games, but still great
The title of the review says it all. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is much like other Pokemon games, but for some reason it's hard to break the addiction to it. Maybe it has something to do with online trading and battling. While some requests on the GTS are absurd, and you might run into a hacker who kicks your ass, this game is good for Pokemon fans, and the average gamer. And when you're bored of battling, you can retreat to the underground and dig up evolution stones and revives. And there are still many legendary Pokemon to get. Cresselia, Giratina, Darkrai, Shayman, Arceus, Mesprit, Azelf, Uxie. Sure, some of them require hacking to get, but no matter. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl is a good game to get if you love Pokemon, or if you're just the average gamer looking for a way to waste 200+ hours! (Well, that's how much I put into the game)
