From the makers of Peggle comes Plants vs. Zombies, a hilarious and addictive tower defense game where you protect your house from an army of undead fiends. To prevent 25 different types of zombies from munching everyone's brains, you must harvest sunlight in order to call on 40 defensive plants that include the Peashooter, Cherry Bomb and a wide array of fungi. As the creatures shamble and pole vault across the lawn, the plants open fire, munch on and freeze them, resulting in dismembered limbs and charred corpses.
Fifty levels await, and part of the fun (and challenge) comes from picking the right types of plants to use, but the main quest is only a fraction of what this game has to offer. In addition, you can peruse the Almanac, enjoy 20 unique mini-games, test your skills in Survival mode and solve puzzles in the Puzzles mode. For $20, Plants vs. Zombies is a thoroughly enjoyable romp that's suitable for all ages. Download it for PC or Mac and save yourself from the invasion.
