It's not every day that you actually have to draw your hero in your game, but Pac-Pix, the latest Namco product to feature the legendary Pac-Man character, lets you do just that. In the game, you literally have to draw your own hero in the shape of a familiar Pac-Man as he chomps up ghosts and follows detours to pick up other items.
The concept in the game really isn't that hard, but getting used to drawing Pac-Man is. Sometimes the drawings won't be accepted if they're incomplete or a little sloppy, which may be a bit frustrating for younger gamers. Once the concept is fully nailed down, however, after a few tries, then you really start to have a lot of fun with the game. Plus there's something completely fascinating and fun about seeing something that you drew from scratch come to life and literally save the day.
The game really doesn't have that much to offer, but it does have twelve different levels in which you draw out your own conclusions, and they get more fun with each level. The graphics and sounds are basic but still entertaining, and the game's a lot of fun for all ages.
So once you get past a certain learning curve, you'll have hours of fun with Pac-Pix. It more than certainly draws some attention.
