Kotaku is reporting that Tecmo president Yoshimi Yasuda will resign from the company. The stated reason for his leaving is due to "personal reasons." Tecmo's Board of Directors accepted Yasuda's resignation, with Chairman Yasuharu Kakihara assuming Yasuda's position on September 1.
Yasuda has been at the center of an embattled Tecmo the past few months. Team Ninja head Tomonobu Itagaki left and sued Tecmo for unpaid bonuses, with Yasada named as the person responsible for withholding those payments. Furthermore, two other former Tecmo employees sued the company for unpaid overtime work.
