Itagaki has shown no hesitation in the past in speaking his mind, so Tecmo is hoping to restrict that with his lawsuit pending. The Japanese publisher is also denying that things are as bad as certain reports may suggest.

Joystiq is reporting that Tecmo is seeking to gag Tomonobu Itagaki from speaking negatively about the company, its games or its employees. The Japanese publisher filed this order with the court on June 10, but a judge has yet to rule on it. Itagaki revealed that he was leaving Tecmo earlier in June.
Tecmo has also responded to reports stating that an exodus is in progress from Tecmo, with those former employees filling lawsuits. The company says that rumors of mass resignations are "groundless" and said that reported details of the lawsuit are "inaccurate." Tecmo also expressed consternation over the whole matter, asking the media to be "fair."
