Sega of America's upcoming NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams for the Nintendo Wii, due on December 18, 2007, plans on adding a user controlled "sand box" area called "My Dream" where players can capture and raise creatures from the world of Nightopia.

Most interestingly, the new feature uses the Wii's Weather Channel as the basis to determine the weather in the sandbox, thus sharing a taste of real-life with artificial life (A-LIFE).

NiGHTS also plans to offer the feeling of flight as characters perform loops, dive through rings as they gather orbs in fantastically colored world of Nightopia. The storyline follows the real-life challenges of two 12-year-olds named Helen and Will and watching how those real-life events spill into their dreams. By taking on their fears in Nightopia, the two work to take on the evil Nightmarens and bring peace back to the world.
