Indianapolis Colts' Tony Dungy will grace the cover of EA Sports' second NFL Head Coach game, due out this fall. We visited Dungy at his home field to talk about the NFL, the new NFL Head Coach 09 game and the role video games play in the NFL today in this semi-exclusive interview.

So, we have to ask -- what's it like coaching Peyton Manning?

It's been a real joy, and it helps you so much as a head coach because when you say to your team that "we have to be hard workers" and "we have to take care of the details to win," -- when your star player exemplifies that, it sends a message. You know he's not going to take any plays off. He works hard, and it encourages everyone else to work. [Peyton] comes in every day with questions. What does this mean? What are we going to do? Can this help us? It keeps you sharp because you know you can't get complacent.

Why aren't you in any of his commercials?

(Laughs.) I'm glad I'm not in any of his commercials because he tends to be the star and he's going to make the other people ... What people don't understand is that the guy they see in those commercials is really more of him. He kind of transforms into the guy they see on the field. He's really fun-loving, a practical joker and has a great sense of humor.

For us head-coaches-in-training, what's the best way to stop the Patriots' offense?

I think what we saw in the Playoffs and down the stretch is that people who were able to get pressure and make them throw fast without getting locked into man-to-man coverage (and not give Randy Moss a chance to make big plays up the field) had success. Make them go the long route, don't give them deep balls, but come up with ways to make pressure and force the quarterback to throw fast.

Who is the best coach in the NFL?

There are a lot of good head coaches ... but the success really comes from the whole organization being on the same page. The teams that have the good organizations, that's where the head coaches get to shine. Recently we've seen that with New England, you'd have to put us up there, Pittsburgh was that way for years when Bill Cowher was there. There are a lot of head coaches that really know there stuff and can really motivate their players and keep their organizations going.

Will Head Coach show us just how tough it is to head up an NFL team?

It's going to go a long ways to that. As they start to play the game and realize all of the decisions that have to be made with the clock running down and different things popping up. You might think you're all set and then something will flash on the screen saying Jeff Saturday may approach the team about being traded. Fans will say, "Man, I didn't realize you had to deal with all that."
