Last year, Need For Speed Most Wanted brought street racing to the Xbox 360 in rip-roaring style, even with heavy competition from other releases at the time. This year, with less competition, the road belongs more to EA, thanks to this just-as-appealing entry in the Need For Speed series, Carbon. This game features intense two-car canyon races, wingmen to do the dirty work, and a map system that guides players on their expanding territory. The in-game story sequences are as cheesy as ever, and the police pursuit aspect has been reduced to comical proportions. The whole street racer theme is getting worn into the ground as well. But with a high-class presentation to its credit and numerous online options available via Xbox Live, Need For Speed Carbon is quite an alluring ride.
