This year's sole college basketball video game should be a slam-dunk with fans.

EA Sports hopes to dominate college basketball with NCAA Basketball 09. Dynasty Mode helps it get closer to that goal by presenting an unbelievably deep experience, letting you choose which areas to improve on as you play through the season. In addition, various playbook and coaching options give you control of the team. The glorious presentation includes realistic animations, arenas that resemble their real-life counterparts and impressive audio commentary from Dick Vitale ("It's awesome, bay-bee!"), Brad Nessler and Erin Andrews. On the court, we struggled executing quite-strike moves on the offense and passing lane running while on defense. Still, it's close to NBA Live 09's style of play, so college hoops fans should give NCAA a rent and shoot some threes.
