The French raised point guard for the San Antonio Spurs will cover the worldwide version of NBA Live 09, with Andrea Bargnani, Pau Gasol and Luol Deng covering the game in their respective countries.

Electronic Arts today announced that Tony Parker will be the cover athlete and spokesman for NBA Live 09. The San Antonio Spurs point guard, two-time NBA All-Star and 2007 NBA Finals MVP will be the first European-born global cover athlete of NBA Live. Additionally, Andrea Bargnani of the Toronto Raptors, Pau Gasol of the LA Lakers and Luol Deng of the Chicago Bulls will cover the Italian, Spanish and British versions of NBA Live 09.

"I have a long history with EA Sports. I've been on the cover in France for five years straight and I've been playing NBA Live for as long as I've played basketball," said Parker. "It's a real honor for me as a European player to now be represented on the worldwide cover."

NBA Live 09 will release on PS2, PS3, PSP, Wii and Xbox 360 on October 7 in North America.
