B-ballers looking for more reasons to head to the online courts of NBA Live 08 this holiday now have the chance to download a free Online Team Play upgrade that lets players play online with up to 10 other consoles players... worldwide.

Simply pop in your copy of NBA Live 08 into your PlayStation 3 to get the automatic update. One installed, the new game mode lets you join a team from one to five players. After that, your team finds another team and you head to the court to battle it out. The result is an artificial intelligence free option that is bound to add a new level of challenge to NBA Live 08.

Sadly, Xbox 360 users are left in the cold for now but will get the free update later in December.
