International Cyber Marketing today announced the World Cyber Games (WCG) will be held in Montreal. It will take place from September 1 - 3 and will draw in "throngs of cyber-athletes, e-sports fanatics and diverse onlookers." The efforts of Arcadia Production are apparently to thank for bringing the WCG to La Ronde.
"Our goal is to raise the general public's interest for the gaming world and in doing so expand the video game community in both Quebec and Canada," said Arcadia Festival and General Manager of Arcadia Production, Francois Decarie. "Therefore, we're very happy to be lending our support to the WCG which, in addition to generating important revenue for the city, will allow Montreal to reaffirm its coveted position within the international video game industry."
