Who knew there was a "Miss World Series of Video Games"

The winners of the World Series of Video Games (WSVG) were revealed today. The inaugural WSVG recently took place in the Kentucky Exposition from Center June 15-18, 2006 in Louisville. The winners were announced by Games Media Properties President and CEO Matt Ringe, with the winner checks being presented by Shea "PainCakes" Brock, who is "the newly anointed Miss World Series of Video Games."
"Our opening event here in Louisville was a spectacular success and featured some of the most intense gaming competition we have ever witnessed," said Matt Ringel, President and CEO Games Media Properties. "We congratulate these competitors on their spectacular performance, and we look forward to seeing the results of the World Series of Video Games Dreamhack event currently running in Sweden, and the CPL Summer Championship in Dallas July 5-9."
