Today, Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) announced MLB 08 The Show for the PS2, PS3 and PSP. Under development by SCEA San Diego Studios, the creators are looking to raise the realism and authenticity for this year's incarnation. These new features for MLB 08 The Show include a more robust "Road to The Show" mode, with adjusted player positions, a greater variety of defensive situations for catchers and interactive mound visits for pitchers.
"Baseball fans know that the MLB franchise has been met with critical acclaim and has a long-standing winning tradition," said Scott Rohde, senior director, product development, SCEA San Diego Studios. "MLB 08 The Show continues to display our commitment to delivering highly-innovative and improved features in order to provide an unrivaled simulation with a broadcast quality presentation."
MLB 08 The Show will release in Spring 2008.
