The GameDaily One-Minute Review

Despite the implications of its poorly designed map, Mega Man ZX is still extremely enjoyable and rewarding. The series made the transition to the DS with gameplay and difficulty intact, meaning it's just as reliant on pattern recognition and quick reactions as the Zero and X titles before it. Yes, the map is downright confusing and horrible in design, and yes the downloadable map over at GameFAQs provides an efficient workaround, but it's still stupid that players need rely on an external source due to a poor design decision. Outside of the map, all of the other twists on the traditional formula, including the overworld, are welcome and quality additions to a series many thought could offer nothing more. Moving the series forward and only stumbling in a few easily solvable areas, which just makes those stumbles all the more frustrating, Mega Man ZX is yet another quality title in the ever-expanding Mega Man universe.
