id Software and Activision announced today the next game in the Wolfenstein franchise. The game (which lacks an official title) is being developed by Raven Software. The next Wolfenstein will release on PC and Xbox 360 and currently lacks a projected release date.

Similar to previous titles in the series, players will be cast behind enemy lines deep into Nazi territory. There, players discover both technological and supernatural forces at work, threatening to throw the tide of the war in Germany's favor. Much attention will be put on the game's graphics technology, along with armed espionage.
