The GameDaily One-Minute Review
Mario Strikers Charged offers fast paced soccer fun for the Wii as well as four person online play. The presentation shows great improvement over the previous Mario Strikers, particularly with the character animation (love those supercharged segments) and the details scattered throughout each soccer field. Extra features, like the tutorial and career mode add value to the experience. It doesn't have the depth of Electronic Arts' FIFA series, but players looking for a fun take on soccer will enjoy Nintendo's light-hearted sports game. GOALLLL!!!User Reviews

mkzsonic: Mario Strikers Charged: Good fun
The sequel to Mario Strikers for the the Gamecube. While they are alike, this game is worth buying whether or not you have the Gamecube one. Now, I don't have the GCN one, so I can't compare. But I know this is a good game. You play as Mario characters whom have different stats. Like in Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, each character's stats have advantages and disadvantages, so choose wisley! You also choose 3 other generic Mario characters (Such as Dry Bones, Koopa, Boo, and Monty Mole) to play on your team. multiple people can play at once and alternate between the team captain and those 3 others. It plays like regular soccer, but there are items, which change the entire game. For example, there's a chain chomp item which causes a chain chomp to fall unto an opponent. There's also power ups where the team captain does a special move to alter play. For example, Mario grows large. Another thing in the game, you can do a special move as the team captain, where you hold the B button and a gauge appears with different colors and a line. You let go of B at just the right time. Depending on the color, you can launch up to 6 balls at the goal. This will initiate a sort of mini-game where one player controls the goalie. Balls will appear (speed depending on the color) and they will have to put the cursor (a pair of hands) over the ball and hit the A button, or the other team will score with that ball. If you're bored of playing against your friends, you can always go online and play against a random person, or a friend. Or, you can grab a friend and play a match with your friend against a random person and his/her friend. There are also leaderboards to hold you over. So Mario Strikers Charged, I highly recommend for gamers and sports fans.
thrasher7944: A must buy game!
You must buy this game, it has neat characters, a new move called a mega strike where you can score multiple goals, and awesome wifi play.
dsormaz06: Nothing Special
A very simple game that lacks depth. The game is less about performing skill moves and more about random power-ups.
benyaminejohn: Footie fun fun
This game is definitely not for people looking for a realistic soccer game, but you have FIFA for that. For what it is (a Mario sports game), it's a lot of fun. Control is nice and easy, and I really liked the big animations for those supershots... Donkey Kong would punch the ball in the face, for example, for a couple of goals. The Wiimote was put to use too as you had to be the goalkeeper sometimes, and that was fun. All in all one of the better Wii games out there... that's not saying much right now, but it's still very good.
