The GameDaily One-Minute Review

Mario & Sonic At the Olympic Games has moments of sheer joy, particularly during competition against friends in multiplayer or pursuing a world record in a specific event. The graphics look colorful and the comical tone is just right for Mario and Sonic fans. However, the events don't show much diversity, outside of a few creative "dream" events. Worse yet, the controls are haphazard, sometimes reading perfectly and other times barely registering. As a result, it earns a bronze metal, at best.

betbull8: Can't get my husband to stop playing it.

Not since the original nintedo (yes, I'm dating myself) have I been so interested in a game! My husband loves it and since he's good at some games and I'm good at others it's fun to take turns. Oh and as for Peach's Hammer Throw, it would have been nice to know that you have to press A after the throw to win the mission!

mkzsonic: Mario and Sonic at the Olympics: A good time waster and party game

Finally, the two rivaling mascots face off and appear in the same game as eachother. But to be honest, it's more like a Wii Sports sequel. More sports with different characters. The graphics of the Miis aren't that great either. And you can easily unlock every event within 1-3 days. However, these are but few things. Otherwise, it's a pretty fun game. Like I said, it is like a new Wii Sports, but this time there's more events. Also, each character has different stats. For example, Shadow is very good at speed, but his stamina is poor. This adds a whole new level, so you don't just rely on how good you are, but you also rely on how good the character is. But for neutral stats, just pick your Mii. M&S is also a great game for parties. 1-4 people can play at the same time in one event. Or you can twist it around so you have more than 4 people playing. You can just make it work. Perhaps work it like how in Trauma Center, a second person will take up the nunchuck and be in control of it for you. But if you don't have a few friends, what do you do? You go onto the online leaderboards and check the scores. Find the top score for an event your good at, and try to beat that record. It'll take a while, but you'll get somewhere on that leader board. I myself was once #4 in the triple jump. So this game is a good game. I wouldn't give it a 9, but it's definitly a 7 or 8 in my book.
