Months after the game's release internationally, the Manhunt 2 situation in the U.K. is still unresolved. Today, a London High Court Judge quashed the Video Appeals Committee's decision to overturn the BBFC's original ruling. In the end, it came down to a definition of harm that was used by the VAC in their original decision. Bearing this in mind, VAC will have to make a new judgment on this matter.
To recount much of the Manhunt 2 release drama, the game was denied a rating by the BBFC both initially and after the first appeal. Manhunt 2 was also smacked with an "AO" rating in the U.S., but it was later revised to "M" and released on October 31.
