GameTap today announced the Quick Hit music show. It joins GameTap network's other music offerings, including GamePads and GameTap 10. Quick Hit "provides a new outlet for artists to reach audiences plugged into the vibrant video game lifestyle" and will feature Ice Cube on its first show.
"Since a lot of hip hop fans are down with video games, it's cool to appear on a show for GameTap where I can talk about the games I love and my latest project," said Ice Cube. "The Internet is changing the way artists do business and broadband stations like GameTap are the way to go."
"Music lovers have moved online, and record labels are embracing the Internet as the premier showcase for their artists," said Ricardo Sanchez, GameTap's vice president of content. "Chances are, if you play games, you love music, and GameTap is the pop culture connection between the two with lightning round interviews, artists talking about their favorite titles and new projects, and exclusive performances you can't find anywhere else."
