The GameDaily One-Minute Review
This will probably be the last year for Madden on the Xbox and GameCube, so let's give it a wave goodbye as it sacks its way into the sunset. The game still holds up well, with a solid (if not entirely amazing) presentation and fun gameplay. The new defensive play touches are nice, particularly when it comes to directing a lead blocker into the thick of traffic. The new Fantasy Challenges should keep fans busy as they complete tasks with players they wouldn't bother with otherwise. Although the game doesn't go the extra mile like other current-generation versions on store shelves, Madden NFL 08 still provides a solid game of football.
