Today, Microsoft announced a two-disc Special Edition of Viva Pinata. It will feature demos of Lego Star Wars II, Frogger, Cloning Clyde, Time Pilot and Marble Blast. This limited release will also feature a sneak peek at the corresponding TV series based on the Viva Pinata universe.

"Viva Pinata... created by Rare and brought to life by Microsoft and 4Kids Entertainment, reveals a vibrant world of living pinata animals designed to capture and inspire the imagination of people of all ages," said the release by Microsoft. "Kids were recently introduced to the cast of characters from the Viva Pinata animated series now on air and available for download via Xbox Live Marketplace in the U.S. and Canada and soon around the world."

Viva Pinata will release in late 2006 with the Special Edition priced at $49.99.
