Although it lacks running commentary and could've benefited from a more enhanced graphical interface, Madden NFL 08 still achieves a modest win on the Nintendo DS. The gameplay has improved a little bit, with many plays to choose from and a few touch-screen control enhancements thrown in for good measure. The inclusion of a Paper Football mini-game results in being a very impressive one, even for just launching a triangular-shaped wedge through someone's fingers. Multiplayer offers lots of gridiron love too, including some quick two-player download play. Madden NFL 08 definitely establishes itself better than its predecessors, showing slow yet steady progress.
