Cover boy Shaun Alexander fractures foot. Out for at least a month.

Seattle Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander probably thought it was an honor to adorn the cover of Madden NFL 07. But I highly doubt the NFL's reigning MVP gave too much thought to the infamous Madden curse. According to ESPN.com, Alexander could miss up to a month of playing time due to a "non-displaced fracture in his left foot". He sustained the foot injury during Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals, but has seemingly aggravated it against the New York Giants this past Sunday.
EA has continuously downplayed the much-popularized curse, but it appears that after several years of bad luck, the jinx has some weight. AOL's the history of the MADDEN CURSE breaks all of the injuries down for you, but here's a quick look:
Barry Sanders (2000): Retired during the peak of his career.
Dorsey Levens (2000): Successful career cut short due to injury.
Eddie George (2001): Playoff fumble led to Ray Lewis touchdown. An injury the following year seriously hampered career.
Daunte Culpepper (2002): Vikings go 4-7, Culpepper goes down with all sorts of injuries. Currently losing in Miami.
Marshall Faulk (2003): Injured. Never reclaimed his dominant status.
Michael Vick (2004): Seriously, when is this guy not injured? During his cover year, Vick fractured his fibula, which led to a horrible season for the Falcons.
Ray Lewis (2005): No interceptions in 2005. Ravens miss the playoffs.
Donovan McNabb (2006): Sports hernia, T.O. feud, too tired to win the Super Bowl.
Shaun Alexander (2007): Fractured left foot.
