The library of Star Wars titles on the Xbox is plentiful. We give you a nice little breakdown on which ones are worth checking out and why.

IT'S A TRAP...or is it? While there are a handful of mediocre Star Wars games kicking around on more than one console (Masters of Teras Kasi...cough...cough), the Xbox's library is remarkably solid. In fact, I can only come up with one game (Obi-Wan) that I'd rather not play. Therefore, if you're a new Xbox owner as well as a Star Wars fan, here is a quick Star Wars videogame checklist that'll aid you on your quest to construct the ultimate Jedi collection.
Game: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic
Genre: RPG
Publisher: LucasArts
Developer: BioWare
Price: $19.99
KOTOR is an essential selection regardless of whether you like RPGs or not. Developer BioWare's epic takes place 4,000 years before the rise of the Empire during a time when there are thousands of Jedi and Sith battling for control of the galaxy. You just so happen to be the one individual who can change things forever and the various choices you make will shape how the story concludes. Will you walk on the light side and aid your fellow comrades, or will you give yourself to the dark side and cast your friends into the abyss?
There are a plethora of reasons why I love this game. Not only did its developers completely nail the Star Wars presentation, but the numerous choose-your-own-adventure-style scenarios are fantastic, being able to construct my own light sabers is really cool, and the various environments I get to visit, which includes the hot deserts of Tatooine and the Sith Temples of Korriban, are just a joy to explore. Plus, this game's creators did something that most fail to do, which is get me to play an RPG and thoroughly enjoy it. Square Enix fans can keep their Final Fantasy games. I'm happy right here.
Game: Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords
Genre: RPG
Publisher: LucasArts
Developer: Obsidian
Price: $49.99
The sequel to the award-winning smash hit is more of the same, but that's not a bad thing. Taking place five years after the prequel, you're a Jedi who's trying to reconnect with the Force, and unlike in the last game, most of the Jedi have been extinguished by the Sith.
KOTOR II features new Force powers, cameo appearances by a few KOTOR characters, three different Jedi classes to select from, new planets to explore, and hours upon hours of gameplay that's fueled by the heavily enjoyable choose-your-own-adventure-format. Every decision you make factors into what type of warrior you will become. Bottom line; if you love the first KOTOR, you need to own its sequel.
