Speaking in a story with MCV, Warner U.K. president and MD Josh Berger said that his company is looking to grow beyond their acquisition of TT Games. In fact, Warner wants to become a billion-dollar gaming publisher by 2012 by purchasing other notable studios.

"We are all very incentivised to grow the business and that's what we're going to do," said Berger. "I think you've seen the various steps we've taken to date, so it's definitely part of a very clear strategy we have in this space. So I wouldn't be surprised if you saw other moves. Certainly with this latest deal for TT Games it represents how keen we are on this industry."

Speaking about TT Games, Berger added that the game developer will create games based on Lego and Warner's own significant IP catalog. "They're a really good fit for us. There is a strong common thread in our approach in terms of quality and providing great games to the family end of the market which is very important," commented Berger. "We have nothing specific to announce at this stage but as you can imagine that we are going to have a very close relationship with TT Games in terms of intellectual property. And we are both strong in those areas."
